Bishop Robert A. Porter received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior on December 31st, 1980 and was filled with the Holy Spirit on February 21, 1981. Christ Church, formerly New Hope Revival Church was founded by Reverends Robert & Patricia Porter and began with it's very first service on February 5th in the year 1986 and has just celebrated 39 years of ministry.
Bishop Porter and his wife Patricia have been married for 43 years. They share the gift of four children, Robert, Jonathan, Joylyn and Olivia (Dolly). Their family has grown and they now have two daughters in law, Jessica and Deborah and two sons in law Justin and Robby. They also have been blessed with nine grandchildren.
